About Eating in Dubai: the back story
Dubai eats across the world. The fifth MICHELIN Guide Dubai, published on 6 October 2026, lists 122 restaurants and 38 cuisines, from two Three-Star tasting menus on the Palm to Bib Gourmands in strip malls along Al Wasl Road.
The stars
FZN by Björn Frantzén at Atlantis The Palm and Trèsind Studio at St. Regis Gardens hold Three MICHELIN Stars. Orfali Bros, the Syrian brothers’ restaurant in Wasl 51, was promoted to Two Stars in 2026, joining Il Ristorante – Niko Romito, Row on 45 and STAY by Yannick Alléno.
Homegrown
Much of the city’s best cooking happens in small places: Three Bros and Sufret Maryam next to Orfali Bros, Berenjak’s Persian grill, 3Fils by the fishing harbour and Window, the MICHELIN Guide’s Opening of the Year, in Alserkal Avenue.
Book the starred rooms weeks ahead; walk into the neighbourhood places.
Emirati cooking
Al Khayma Heritage Restaurant in Al Fahidi (Bib Gourmand) and Al-Fanar at Al Seef serve Emirati dishes in old-Dubai settings.
Booking
Most restaurants take reservations online. Alcohol is served only in licensed venues, mostly in hotels.
Our advice: one starred dinner, one Bib Gourmand lunch and an Emirati meal by the Creek.
